Maj LAWRENCE F. DEAN died 5 October 1993. He was 57 years old. Apparently cancer was the cause. He was born 18 November 1935 in Houston, Texas and was a graduate of Paschal High School. Maj. Dean served two tours in the Vietnam War and received two Purple Hearts and the Distinguished Flying Cross.
He was the Group Commander of his Officer Candidate School Class (63A) in 1962; was a Wild Weasel from 1968 to 1973 and served at Nellis AFB, Nevada from 1973 to 1977. He retired from the Air Force in 1977. Maj. Dean is survived by his wife Brenda, two sons: Brett and Scott, a brother and one grandson.
