• Responsible for auditing pilot schedules monthly for legality

• Responsible for training new First and Second Officers for line operations in both domestic and international markets

1982-2000: United States Air Force Reserve, Chicago, IL

Deputy Liaison Officer Commander

• Managed 10 USAF Academy Liaison Officers/Admissions Counselors

• Responsible for the evaluation of over 100-150 High School Juniors yearly for possible appointment to the Air Force Academy

• Implemented training course for new Liaison Officers which resulted in a 50% reduction in the time it took them to become mission ready

• Awards and Decorations: Distinguished Flying Cross with one oak leaf cluster, Air Medal with 6 oak leaf clusters, Distinguished Service Award, Meritorious Service Award with one device as well as 12 other awards and decorations

• Retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel

Commander Simulator Training Division

• Managed 22 Officers and enlisted men assigned to the Simulator Training Division

Provided in-flight refueling for 12 Fighter units stationed in the Midwest and during European deployments numerous units in England, Holland, Germany, Spain, and Italy
• Standardization Evaluation Pilot responsible for the training of new pilots and the annual evaluation of all pilots in the Group
Group Training Officer and Convoy Commander
• Provided initial and annual training to all FAC’s (Forward Air Controllers) and ROMADs (Radio Operators Mechanics and Drivers)
• Provided target information to airborne units from concealed ground locations
• Responsible for the orderly and timely movement of the entire Group to our summer training site in Alpena, MI

1966-1967: 472nd Tactical Airlift Squadron, South Vietnam
Wing Tactical Operations Officer and Pay Officer
Squadron Safety, Security, and Mortuary Officer
• Responsible for the scheduling of all Tactical Operations for the Wing
• Responsible for the supply of all Special Forces units in South Vietnam I and II Corp as well as other selected units
• Pay Officer for Wing personnel and for the Officers and Enlisted men in the Wing’s 6 Squadrons
• Responsible for the security of the 472nd TAS personnel and equipment while stationed at Phu Cat, Pleiku and DaNang, South Vietnam
• Responsible for the shipment and burial of any 472nd TAS personnel killed in action
