David Owen Cromer

David Owen Cromer, Major, USAF, Ret., aged 76, of Pensacola, passed away April 18, 2015.

He served in the United States Navy and Air Force retiring as a Major with the United States Air Force.

After retiring, he worked for J. A. Niland, Sikorsky, Boeing, and P. Carter Trucking, Inc. He was a member of East Brent Baptist Church for 31 years where he served as Sr. Adult and a Couples Sunday School teacher for many years. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family in West Virginia.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Annie Cromer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patty Kellum Cromer; two daughters, Karen Cromer Carter (Phil) and Kristin Ales (Patrick); grandchildren, Lindsey Ales, Aaron Ales, Kristy Carter, Catie Ales, and Owen Carter; brother, Donald B. Cromer (Judy); adopted sister, Nancy Hall; selected daughter, Lori Hatcher (Brad) and her children, Elle and Braden; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Major Cromer is buried in Barrancas National Cemetery.
